The Challenge They Came With
TEDxZurich wanted its 2023 flagship to work on two fronts at once: strong on the stage and reaching well beyond it.
- A coherent visual identity across the stage, the projections, and the motion graphics.
- Smooth production coordination on the day, across several teams.
- High-quality video of every talk, the format TEDx is known for.
- An inclusive show, with live captions, sign-language interpretation, and audio description.
- Talks edited fast and published.

Target Group
TEDxZurich’s talks are made for people who come looking for ideas worth spreading, in Zurich and far beyond it.
- Curious, ideas-driven people
- Leaders and professionals across fields
- The Zurich and Swiss community
- Broader TED community and topic interest people on YouTube

Who’s on Camera
Ten speakers took the stage for Re-Building, from a researcher on assistive technology to Guy Katz, whose «The Power of Positivity» became the edition’s most-watched talk. The sign-language interpreters were part of the show too, on screen and beside the stage.
How It Ran
TEDxZurich shaped the program and brought the speakers. EVERYWOW handled the look, the video, and the accessibility, and coordinated the production together with the venue’s event-technology partner and the TEDxZurich team.

The Hard Part
A TEDx event gets one take. The visual identity, the coordination, the filming, and the accessibility all have to work at once, live, with no second run.
EVERYWOW planned each aspect before the day and ran them together. Then the edit could not wait: TEDxZurich’s talks are watched mostly after the event, so we cut them fast and published while interest was high.
- Four workstreams on one timeline
- Three teams to keep in sync: EVERYWOW, the venue’s technology partner, and the organizer
- Every talk filmed clean on six cameras
- The edit racing the post-event attention window
What Came Out of It
The edited talks drew more than half a million combined views on YouTube, with «The Power of Positivity» alone close to 400,000.
High-quality video is what the event is remembered for. The talks keep circulating long after the event, reaching people who never attended it.
On the night, more than 1,000 people experienced Re-Building on-site and online, including everyone who followed it through captions, sign language, or audio description.
